We searched the entire metroplex for weeks trying to find a car for our teenager. We were exhausted and frustrated from calling multiple dealerships, showing up, and then to only to be told that the vehicle was no longer there. We even experienced one dealership where they told us they had MULTIPLE Chevrolet Trax in stock and when we arrived, they fumbled over their words and told us that they were in transit, but that they would be happy to make us buy one that day. We finally called Ally and she spoke kindly to us. By this point we were exhausted from driving and told her that we would be in the next day around 9AM. Ally not only held the vehicle for us but greeted us with a smile even though we showed up late. While we were test driving the vehicle, another dealership called to tell us they had just received a Trax in, but my husband bluntly told them that the service we were receiving was so top notch that we were no longer interested in their service. A few moments later, we were beginning paperwork with Ally. I personally have high anxiety when it comes to buying cars and began to feel myself getting nervous, but Ally kept me calm and reassured us that she would get this taken care of ASAP. She kept her word, and we were in and out of the dealership within two hours. Not to mention, we had our 9-year-old with us who kept telling us she was hungry, so Ally made sure she kept a snack in her hand and a drink. As we drove away our kiddo even said, "she was so cool mom!" I truly want to thank everyone at this dealership for their help, kindness, and smiles! My family and I will definitely be back!

I do not feel heard at this dealership. I get a lot of smiles and "ok's" but my problem with my car remains the same. I receive the customary emails from the service person but I never get a response when I text back. Polite people but no real conversation about the vehicle. I received my 2nd oil change. At all other places I have ever had my oil changed, they always return my car with it cleaner than when I took it in. Vacuumed at least, not at this dealership. This time, I had squeaking breaks, the sheet said they could not duplicate the problem, I literally drove off and before I left the parking lot, I HEARD the brakes squeaking! Same thing with prior drop-offs with the car, radio problems, never fixed, I have given up on that!

The service advisor was great. I realize he is in between a rock and a hard place. I brought the vehicle in for 3 issues, oil change, air conditioner blowing hot air and tire air pressure sensor was out. Air conditioner was fixed. Oil change and tire rotation was completed. Mechanic said didnt address tire pressure sensor because wasnt working when he received it - What???? Front vehicle tag was bent outwards when I received vehicle after paying for service. Service advisor had to fix that. My family and I have purchased 4 vehicles in last 13 years from James Wood and we have had many issues not fixed first time when brought in. Seriously considering other dealerships for next vehicle purchase.

Advisor Cole was excellent. Though I feel bad for giving 4 stars instead of five my frustration is with the dealership. They charge a credit card fee if you use a credit card. Basically punishing customers if they don’t have cash or debit card. Both credit card and debit card transactions have fees so what’s the difference. Yes, it might be less and less of a risk or chargeback. This is a sad way to recoup cost and the service department is the part of business that makes the dealership the most money. They should take those fees charged as a cost of doing business. I gave Cole the opportunity to see if he could get the fee charge refunded and unfortunately he said it was policy and nothing he could do about it. Maybe a few or more less than perfect reviews will change a greedy policy. Best example if you go to a restaurant or a store no one is charging fees. I was also asked not to do a review because it would be a fail on Cole which is not fair to him either. Sad to pin an employee against a customer. No review at all is making the dealership win. Do better dealership!

This is the 3rd time that rear window has had to be replaced due to leaking. At what point is this determined to a design flaw and a solution is offered. I had panned on keeping this truck for years to come. Once I got the truck back from the dealership and driven home, I found 2 bolts (one inside the driver door handle) and (one rolling around the back seat). So now I have 2 bolts that go somewhere where the repairs happened.

As always, Jarrett Abel provided excellent customer service. I had my small grandchildren with me during my service visit for an oil change and tire rotation, and he made sure my vehicle was ready quickly. My complaint (AND IT'S NOT AGAINST ANYTHING JARRETT DID), but I picked my car up for a transmission replacement in April on claim #2641136 with CarShield (my insurance company). Ever since the repair my car seems to accelerate slowly whenever I stop at a red light or slowdown in traffic. My fear is someone is going to hit me WITH my grandchildren in the car. I'm told that James Woods transmission department is so backed up and that it would take 3+ days before they are even able to diagnose/duplicate the issue. AND all this time I would be without transportation. I don't have the budget for a rental and my insurance company "CarShield" will not approve a rental until the claim #2641136 is reopened and the claim cannot be reopened until the issue is diagnosed/duplicated. So, at this time I'm driving in fear. Many people (even mechanics) I have talked with about the issue I'm experiencing seem to feel one of two things may be happening: 1.) There's an issue with the transmission that was installed, and it needs to be replaced, which CarShield is willing to take care of, if this is the case, BUT the claim #2641136 needs to be reopened. 2.) The transmission was not installed correctly, and James Wood Transmission department need to look at it. Again, CarShield will pay for a rental if this is the case, BUT the claim #2641136 needs to be reopened. Your suggestions or resolution for my issue would be greatly appreciated.

The process was fairly smooth. I do wish the process where prior appointments are set are a bit smoother because I booked the appointment for an oil change through the app but was still questioned about my visit and had to be transfered to someone else with a little confusion before exiting my car. I normally have a good experience so this wasn't much different other than that and oil being both inside and outside of my car once complete.

Dropped off our chevy 2500 diesel due to check engine light coming on with multiple codes, power and emissions issue's. It took about 3-4 weeks to fix the issue, and athough i had to call/message because the updates and communication were slow coming or non existent, the technician figured out the problems and gave the advisor the info. Gavynn was informative about the issue's as they were found and eventually we ended up having to spend a lot more than we had. But the bright side of our future financial woes is that we have a working truck. Thank you Gavynn and the tech who worked on it.

I purchased a 2021 certified Equinox a month ago from James Wood. I have been hearing a rattle in the dash for a few weeks now. I took it in to Tim Wilkins in service. He had the service guys put cameras in the dash, and ultimately the make ready department took it and with microphones determined it was my garage opener and the rattle was running down the windshield. They spent hours on it. When I picked it up, there was no charge. I owned Lexuses for years. They can keep their muffins. This the best service department I’ve ever dealt with. Scheduling service is challenging. The service advisor told me he can’t schedule service in days he is not there. I have a challenging schedule so now we are trying to navigate two schedules. I waited for a month to get my vehicle in. That’s dumb. My truck went in for two things. The first item needs parts….still have not heard on parts. The second issue was not fixed. Radio still cuts out multiple times after starting truck.

I came in for what I thought was a quick maintenance visit, getting tires rotated and an air filter changed. I also opted for the Silver wash. I had an 11 am appointment and arrived at 10:55 am. I mentioned that I had a 1 pm meeting and that I needed to leave in time for this. I went to the waiting room to work, but the Wifi wasn't working. Then around 12:15 am I asked at the desk for an update, mentioning again that I had a 1 pm meeting. They sent someone to check and told me that the maintenance was done and it was just getting the carwash. Should be done in 5-10 minutes. At 12:30 I asked again and was told it should be done in like 5 minutes. I asked if I could go ahead and pay so I could walk out the door the moment the car was ready. I paid, and waited. And waited. I ended up making a call to cancel my meeting at 12:55. The car didn't arrive until around 1:15 pm.

I recommend some process improvements for handling scheduled appointments. I had a 9:40 AM appointment for a simple oil change, but upon arrival and check-in, I was informed it would take about two hours. I had scheduled the appointment and blocked time on my calendar specifically to ensure a quick, efficient visit. Since I live 35–40 minutes away in a neighboring county, using the courtesy car service to return home wasn’t practical. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful, but there seems to be room for improvement in managing scheduled appointments versus walk-ins and existing backlogs to better respect customers’ appointment times.

My purchase was made because I found a vehicle whose price was significantly discounted by the manufacturer. I asked the local management team for what else they could do and they did not budge on anything for which I asked. There are many parts to a deal but I felt that because the vehicle was a clear out by Chevy, they didn’t need to do anything further. I especially did not like dealing with Mr Olivares in finance. I felt like I needed a bath after working with him. After he and local management had rebuffed me on every item for which I had requested a little more to make me feel optimum about the deal, and after the ink had dried on the contract, he reminded me of this survey. I told him to his face that his timing for my satisfaction was poor. Again, I emphasize, Chevy gave me a significant discount on a 2025 loaner that had lots of discount. I told them I felt good but would appreciate a little more of a push at the local level to make it better for me. They chose not to do it. So in all the experience does not warrant an excellent rating but I’ll give them a 3 out of 5

Called to schedule appointment, got a date and dropped off Tahoe with Brandon early 1/14/26. Vehicle was diagnosed with noise emanating from rear differential and was flushed twice. It was ready for pickup evening of 1/15/26. To date, 1/20/26, the noise issue seems to have been resolved. Brandon was pleasant and professional and the dealer has restored some lost confidence (under James Woods) for service.
